My mom was misled and deceived multiple times by a Major Timeshare Developer to upgrade her timeshare and scammed twice by timeshare exit companies.

That is why I decided to start Timeshare Owner Justice to get timeshare owners the help they need to get out of these contracts/scams. We have found a proven way to get results faster and at less cost to you. You have already been taken advantage of. You deserve justice!

My Story: My mom was coerced and manipulated into upgrading her timeshare by a Major Timeshare Developer several times. It doesn’t help that she suffers from a bipolar diagnosis and is now in early stages of dementia and really did not know what she was agreeing to. She tried to get out of these timeshare contracts multiple times by herself and with 2 timeshare exit companies. All with no results, more out of pocket costs, $69,000 MORE in debt and more timeshare contracts than when she started totaling $96,000 in debt.

When she tried to get out at the timeshare location, she was contacted directly by a phone by one of their agents and upsold into a $69,000 timeshare. This Major Timeshare Developer said she needed to upgrade to get out of her timeshare through their exit program. She was quickly denied for this program because the old timeshare was not paid off first. The sales person never informed her of that and she sought to seek out a timeshare exit company. The Exit Program from this Major Timeshare Developer is very rigid and doesn’t help many timeshare owners. I think this is their attempt to look as if they are helping but really is a way to identify clients wanting to cancel their program and reassuring timeshare owners that there is a pathway to exit but they don’t provide the details needed to qualify.

After trying a timeshare exit company about a year ago with no results she was contacted over the phone and convinced to try again. This timeshare exit company did little to no research or work on her case and charged her $18,200 dollars. This is where I got involved. I moved back to Colorado to be closer to family and it turns out was good timing. This is a crazy amount to charge to get her to get out of 2 timeshare contracts. This FEE of $18,200 was taken out of her bank account, which was big chunk of my mom’s retirement money. She was not aware it was that much and she was tricked into filling out a Docusign electronic contract by the sales agent. She was “Not of sound mind” to do the right thing and was easily sold AGAIN! Three months had gone by they had done NOTHING TO HELP my mom!!! I did some more research on this company. The timeshare exit company had changed their name 3 times over the past 6 years because of bad reviews. It turns out they are the “Sales” company and they just pass off my mom’s information and contract out the work to a “disposal company”. It turns out that most of these disposal companies tell the client not pay their timeshare and then the timeshare company eventually gives up after about 2 years. Two years of harassing phone calls, collection activity by the timeshares collection department and outsourced collection companies and poor credit reporting. Do they ever fix your credit like they promise? My mom has paid into these timeshares/timeshare exit companies for several years costing her over $100,000 in fees and debt owed. I needed to step in and get my mom out of this spiraling timeshare money pit!

I have extensive knowledge developed over years of consumer advocacy in financial services utilizing the resources of government agencies to DIRECTLY help and investigate companies that scam consumers. I built a team of professionals with experience in consumer advocacy and contract law and developed a strategy to help my mom. We were able to quickly and efficiently get a FULL refund from the timeshare exit company of ALL $18,200 back into her account. Then we went after both timeshare companies who had scammed my mom. Implementing strategies that they had developed and used in other verticals along with some legal muscle flexing we were able to quickly bring the timeshare company to their knees and agree to a complete cancellation of these contracts as well as a refund of a portion of the fees.
